The second largest university in Washington, WSU employs approximately 7,000 faculty and staff supporting 23,000 students, undergraduate and graduates.

Where We Work

Pullman

Located in the southeast agricultural corner of Washington state, the University's main campus overlooks the rolling farmlands of the Palouse region. WSU is the leading employer in the city of Pullman, population 27,000. Seattle is a convenient hour's flight away and Spokane, Washington's second largest city, is a little over an 80 minute drive north. Eight miles across the border is Pullman's nearest neighbor, Moscow, Idaho, with its own land grant university, the University of Idaho.  Pullman is a family-friendly town, renowned for having one of the top 100 public school systems in the United States.  Located in farming country, Pullman agricultural crops include  wheat, barley and lentils.

Spokane

Centrally located in the Pacific Northwest, Spokane—the second-largest city in Washington—offers four-season recreation in a scenic setting of lakes, mountains, and rivers; an active and diverse cultural scene; an enriching intellectual climate; a vibrant downtown with amenities that rival those of much larger cities: outstanding shopping, eclectic dining, world-class entertainment, and more; and affordable housing in friendly and safe historic neighborhoods graced by beautiful parks.  WSU Spokane’s Riverpoint Campus lies along the picturesque Centennial Trail bordering the Spokane River, immediately adjacent to downtown. Spokane is recognized with honors, from designation as a Tree City USA, to one of the best places in the nation for kids and much more.

Tri-Cities

Located along the Columbia River in Eastern Washington WSU Tri-Cities offers a wide range of programs and opportunities for its students, faculty and staff.  With a growing offering of programs and degrees WSU Tri-Cities is a reflection of the surrounding community: a place of dynamic growth and opportunity.  As WSU Tri-Cities completes the  transition from a commuter campus to a four year institution you can visibly see the changes taking place.  With a growing and diverse student population and popular Engineering and emerging Viticulture program WSU Tri-Cities has a lot of offer.  WSU Tri-Cities also offers students unique research opportunities in emerging fields.  WSU Tri-CIties also offers the communites of Central and Easteran Washington early outreach educational programs for the development of strong students and future leaders.

Vancouver

WSU Vancouver's approximately 351-acre campus is located ten miles north of the Columbia River in the scenic Salmon Creek area of Vancouver. Washington State University began offering courses in Southwest Washington in 1983 as part of the Southwest Washington Joint Center for Education. In 1989, the University formally established Washington State University Vancouver as a branch campus of the state's land-grant institution. The Salmon Creek campus opened in 1996. In Fall 2006, WSU Vancouver admitted freshmen and sophomores for the first time and began offering lower-division courses. Currently, WSU Vancouver offers 16 Bachelor's degrees, 9 Master's degrees, 1 Doctorate degree and more than 35 fields of study.
