Credit Card Debt

The average college freshman who enters school debt-free in September accumulates over $1,500 in credit card debt by May (Nellie Mae Credit Card study). Incurring this $1,500 from a credit card company that charges 19% interest and in paying the minimum required payment each month, it could take up to 17 years to pay off the balance! Managing Personal Finances

About half of all adults (49%) say they are concerned they have not paid enough attention to managing their finances as they should have and 48 percent are concerned they don't know enough about financial planning.
